Drop Ring
Winter 2016
This is the second locket ring she made this semester. The sterling silver box is composed of two pressed teardrop shapes which connect with a hinge at the side. Six silver wires cover the ring band and extend upwards to frame the box. On the lid are 3 bezel set 3mm Sky Blue Topaz. Partway through setting the stones she discovered bezel burnishers, which made the setting go much more quickly! It was also with this ring that she realized that the micro torch would be her new best friend, as it made soldering the tiny hinges much easier. top

This ring features a sterling silver triangular box which hinges and catches right under the lid. On top is a bezel set is a deep blue synthetic sapphire. The box sits on a silver bad embellished with straight wire lines. top
